Digitalization for retail, e-commerce and distribution

Whether you sell online, in stores or through distribution, the problems gather in the same place: orders, stock and deliveries. We have worked with companies of every size, from small shops, restaurants and hotels to supermarkets, hypermarkets, distribution companies and online stores.

Sound familiar?

  • The stock on the website, on the marketplace and in the store is not the same, and you end up selling goods you no longer have.
  • The online store and the physical stores are managed separately, with different prices and stock.
  • Orders are retyped by hand from one system to another: invoice, shipping label, payment.
  • Deliveries with your own vehicles are planned by hand, from one day to the next.
  • The couriers' systems are not connected to yours, and shipping labels and parcels are tracked separately.
  • Returns arrive damaged or never find their way back into stock.
  • Delivery notes, receipts and trip sheets pile up and are entered by hand, and accounting falls behind.
  • The company has grown, but almost everything is still kept in Excel.
  • Stock counts show differences nobody can explain.
  • Customers buy once and never come back, and you do not know who your best customers are.

If you ticked at least two, the problem is not a lack of software. It is the way information moves between people, systems and departments. That is where we start.

Where you start from

In retail, the size of a company says little about how well its software works. We usually find one of two situations.

Excel, even in large companies

Orders, stock and deliveries are kept in files, and people copy data from one place to another. The more the volume grows, the more the manual work and the errors grow with it.

Several systems that do not talk to each other

The online store, invoicing, inventory and the courier's system each run on their own. Every order passes through several hands before it reaches the customer and the accounts.

What we digitalize, in the order that matters

We do not start with the biggest project, but with the one that brings a visible result quickly and prepares the ground for the rest.

1
Quick win

Orders and deliveries

The order enters the system once and moves on to the invoice, the delivery and the payment. Deliveries with your own vehicles and those through couriers are planned and tracked from the same place.

2

One stock across all channels

The website, the marketplace and the physical stores see the same stock and the same prices, so you never sell the same product twice.

3

Delivery and transport documents

Delivery notes, receipts and trip sheets are generated from the order and reach accounting without being entered by hand.

4

Returns

Every return has a clear path: why it came back, what state it arrived in, whether it goes back into stock and who is responsible when goods come back damaged.

5

The right software: ERP, WMS, CRM

If Excel or your current systems can no longer cope, we establish what you need, arrange meetings with 2-3 vendors for each solution and help you understand and negotiate the offers.

6

Customers who come back

Customers and their orders in one place, so you know who buys often, who has left and who deserves an offer.

How we work with retail & e-commerce companies

Three stages, each with a clear result. You can stop after any of them.

RIFT Discover

2-3 weeks

We talk to management to understand what you want to improve. Then we interview people from sales, inventory, deliveries and accounting, because that is where the real problems show. At the end you receive a report with the optimisation solutions, which we go through together.

RIFT Navigate

2-4 weeks per solution

For each solution we explain what it means in practice and roughly what it would cost. If you agree, we arrange meetings with 2-3 vendors for each solution (ERP, WMS, CRM) and help you understand and negotiate the offers.

RIFT Transform

for the length of the implementation

We coordinate the implementation alongside your team and the vendors, measure progress and make sure people actually use the new tools.
